I feel as though it is my duty to advertise this guy’s instagram page. I have been keeping a close eye on it since I came across him a couple weeks ago. I’m currently still in the monitoring-and-analysis phase, but I could make the argument that this may be the funniest account going. Check out some of these videos:
I am LOVING this guy. He has completely reeled me in to the point that I am ‘one foot IN the door’ on believing his schtick. He’s handling snakes like I would handle a snake (which I never would). Actually, he’s handling snakes like a guy who has no fucking clue how to handle a snake but he’s numb off uppers so he’s not concerned with the pain of being bit. And his enthusiasm is suspiciously high. Doesn’t it kind of seem like the entire thing could be a troll account? Like he doesn’t actually give a shit about animals, but he’s doing his best to mock Steve Irwin?
ORRRRRR is he actually a genuine wild animal national treasure? What if he’s not hamming it up for the camera? He’s just a Florida dude whose heart rate shoots up to 180 when he sees a snake and he can’t help but hurriedly grab it by whichever end of it is closer to his hand.
I am seriously so 50/50 on whether this kid knows what the hell he’s talking about. But I feel like no one in their right mind would pick shit up like snakes and iguanas unless they were aware of the consequences. If he didn’t know what he was doing I suppose he would have been killed by something venomous by now…
Some of the shit he’s saying sounds sincere enough that I’m leaning towards him being knowledgeable but inexperienced. However, when I read the comments, it again raises my doubts.
There’s also a lot of comments specifically centered around what I brought up earlier – His seemingly dangerous methodology of grabbing/handling a snake…
One other interesting tidbit I noticed throughout his videos is every once in a while he will subtly reference Jesus or God. At first I was suspicious that he was trolling again, but then recently he posted this:
That dark room speech and the wide-eyed look come across as a little bit ‘off the reservation,’ but hey, whatever floats your boat. If Jesus is the one telling this guy to sprint up to snakes and grab them with reckless abandon, then I am all for it.
Before we wrap up, I would be remiss if I don’t point out the sneakiest funny part within all 50 of those videos above. It’s the guy on the side of the road that claims he’s “also a herpetologist.”
Judging by the look on his face, I don’t know if that guy has ever SEEN a snake that big let alone handled one. I know a snake handler when I see one and this guy most certainly IS NOT one. He looks more like he was working as a mechanic for two years and then his sister offered him a job as a florist in her flower shop. He took the job and never looked back. Those free haircuts were too big of a perk to pass up.
“Yeah, I would have grabbed it for you, but I thought I was going to shit my pants just looking at it from 10 feet away. Plus these are my church clothes!”
