Another 2-3 week for me and another 0-1 week for the guest pick but I can live with it and I’m already onto week 12. Another wild week of football and another Penn State football loss, what else is new?
We didn’t get much right but how about those Rams huh? Already kicking myself for not placing that futures bet for the Rams as NFC champions, but we’ll just keep our fingers crossed that doesn’t happen.
The first CFB playoff rankings were released and this is somehow the first year I realized how meaningless they are. Not sure how this took 7 years for me to figure this out but literally these “experts” will move the teams around comparably to putting together a puzzle with pieces from different boxes. And they do it weekly. Oh, and then try to rationalize why it makes sense. The irony in Jeff Long explaining to me who the best football teams are and then simultaneously being fired from his AD job is perplexing. It’s like ESPN hiring Rex Ryan to tell me about football. I’ll spare you the “excitement,” it’s going to be Bama, Clemson, OSU, and an irrelevant fourth team that will lose its first game to whichever of those 3 is the “best” when in fact the #1 seed has never won the natty.

WEEK 11 RECAP
1. Coastal Carolina -5.5 (vs. App State) – 💰WINNER💰
Final Score: Coastal Carolina 34 -App State 23
This has to be the first undeserved win for us this year and we’ll take it. I still can’t believe tihs happened. The Chanticleers were down 3 with 3 minutes left and still managed to cover this. Here at the $ix Rack we call this one EA$Y MONEY.
2. Patriots -1.5 (vs. Texans) – 
LOSER
Final Score: Patriots 20 – Texans 27
I still love this pick. I am still waiting for someone to tell me the Patriots won this game easily. But I’ll settle for someone telling me in actuality Romeo Crennell beat Bill Belichick in a football game.
3. OSU -20.5 (vs. Indiana) – ❌LOSER❌
Final Score: Ohio State 42 – Indiana 35
Wow. I did not see this coming. A win’s a win for the Buckeyes but being up 21 multiple times in the second half certainly hurts a little. As much as I feel like Tom Allen is coaching a division 1 football team as part of Make A Wish, I can’t imagine what that guy could do with a roster of 4 and 5 star recruits.
4. Rams +3.5 (vs. Buccaneers) – 
WINNER
Final Score: Rams 27 – Buccaneers 24
The Rams are legit. The Bucs suck in Primetime. I’m good for one of these a week – we nailed this one.
5. Bengals +1.5 (vs. Redskins) – LOSER
Final Score: Bengals 9 – Redskins 20
Two weeks late but don’t forget that Week 9 guest picker called Joe Burrow being wheeled off on a cart. Unfortunately, any chance of us winning this game might as well have left on the cart too. When I saw Ryan Finlay was the Bengals backup quarterback, I pretty much threw in the towel on this one.
On another note, let’s not forget the Redskins are 0.5 games out of a playoff spot right now. The NFC East is truly a consolation bracket.

Coastal Carolina won’t cover this themselves but they’ll get close. Texas State‘s defense has given up the ninth most points per game in the country. Expect at least one or two garbage time TDs for Texas State to cover this one ea$y.
