A 2-3-1 week with yet another 1:1 and LSML loss has sparked a change for this week’s $ix Rack. We need to make up some dough and we need to make it up fast.
WEEK 18 RE$ULTS
1. Alabama Cincinnati UNDER 57.5 ✅
Yet another college football semifinal blowout. Let’s hope adding extra teams to a playoff somehow causes the competition of these games to increase.
2. Baylor +1.5 (vs. Ole Miss) ✅
Baylor football does it again. I think I owe Dave Aranda a cold one at this point.
3. Michigan team total OVER 17.5 points ❌
This was a terrible bet from the beginning. Why I genuinely thought Michigan had a chance in this game, I am not sure, but at least they didn’t score 0 points.
4. Tennessee -5.5 (vs Purdue) ❌
This was an awesome game. We took an L at the end of this but man we had so many chances to cover it.
5. Washington Football Team +4 (vs. Eagles) – PUSH
This looked like a lock at halftime but WFT left us all wondering WTF happened in the second half?
6. Dolphins +3.5 (vs. Titans) ❌
The Dolphins finally let me down…big time. I’d be crazy to pick them again, right?
Week 18 SSIDMASLSML:
Texans +600 (vs. 49ers) ❌
This looked promising for a hot minute as well.
Week 18 1:1 Parlay (+100) ❌
- Wake Forest -631 (vs Rutgers) ✅
- Alabama -530 (vs Cincinnati) ✅
- UNC -351 (vs South Carolina) ❌
- Buccaneers -751 (vs Jets) ✅
In hindsight, this was so blatantly obvious UNC would be the ones to blow this.
WEEK 19 WINNER$:
1. Georgia Bulldogs -2.5 (vs. Alabama)
I can’t believe we played a whole season just to get this matchup. I promised myself earlier this season that I would pick Alabama as an underdog every possible time for the rest of my life. I lied. Queue me in the GD bulldog head.
2. Ravens -3.5 (vs. Steelers)
If Lamar Jackson plays, that would be a bonus. I am seriously concerned about Ben Roethlisberger’s physical ability (or inability rather) to the point where we have to consider Tyler Huntley as a major upgrade. I love the Ravens to win this game.
3. 49ers +4.5 (vs Rams)
Kyle Shanahan has won 5 straight vs. Boy Genius McVay. There are a lot of playoff implications in this game, but the 49ers have more to play for given the fact that the 49ers need a win to be guaranteed a playoff spot while the Rams have already clinched a spot. I think the 49ers try to run for 1000 yards and win this outright.
4. Colts -15.5 (vs. Jaguars)
5. Colts vs. Jaguars UNDER 44
The Jags are a league-worst 4-12 ATS. Colts need a win to get in but sit Carson Wentz and Jonathan Taylor in the fourth quarter. This seems like a 28-3 game to me.
6. Dolphins +6.5 (vs. Patriots)
The Patriots are 2-6 straight up in their last 8 appearances vs. the Dolphins in Miami. There is some weird phenomenon with this matchup and I love getting almost a full TD to work with here. I am well aware this is like the 10th straight week I have picked the Dolphins, and we can cry together when they lose by a TD.
Travman Teaser:
After losing countless 1:1’s and LSML’s, I have decided to spice things up this week and try a teaser on a matchup I really like. Instead of sacrificing 3 units with these bets every week, this week we will be placing 1 unit on the following:
- ‘Dogs -6.5 +150 (vs. Alabama)
- ‘Dogs -9.5 +200 (vs. Alabama)
- ‘Dogs -13.5 +290 (vs. Alabama)
Let’s not forget the last three championship games have been won by at least 17 points. Realistically, worst case here, Alabama wins, and I light 3 units on fire per usual, right? What else is new?
